CrossWorks tries bands……

Sometime ago I was approached by a friend to take some images of her band in Chicago. I said “well I’m a wedding/portrait photographer but I suppose I can give it a whirl”. So after a whirlwind shoot in the morning I managed to meet with the band. Here are some of the images I got out of the shoot. I love the windy city and the band was great. I had so much fun. Oh and by the way the band is called “Untitled” and they are available on Itunes.

Indian Summer……

Well here we are the second week of October in 80 degree weather. Kind of crazy I think. Last week I had an opportunity to go with the great folks of SmugMug to Glacier National Park in Montana. I had a lot of fun and got a chance to shoot landscape instead of bridalscape (not that I mind weddings) for the first time in 4 months. I just thought I would share some images with you.

Brian and Kelly

Nestled in the woods of the midwest on August 22nd I got a chance to shoot this great couple. It was a first for me to have a barn to have the ceremony in. It was pretty cool. After we got some great shots in and around the grounds we made our way to a quaint church down the road for the more memorable photos. Enjoy.

August 11th wedding

August 11th I had an opportunity to shoot a great couple in Oconomowac, WI. Valerie and Paul were fun to work with and definitely knew how to party. Here are some highlights from the wedding. I would have to say the best part of the reception would have had to have been the mix of music. Paul selected a rather nice eclectic mix that he had on all vinyl. Very cool. Enjoy.

Trash the Dress……

Got a chance Saturday to do my first Trash the Dress shoot. The bride in question was my friend Kendal, whose wedding I was in last year. When I first posed the question about doing a shoot like this she wanted to be the first to sign up. After racking my brain for a few days I came up with some spots and we just went for it. Here are a few samples from that day. I am available to do a couple more of these free of charge before I have enough to make a portfolio. Let me know if you are interested.

Look for more here in a bit when Im done working on them. I had a wedding this last Friday and am deep in working on images for that. This upcoming weekend I also have a wedding to shoot. It’s going to be a busy month.
