Racine Engagement Photography || Lisa and Eric

Several weeks ago I had a chance to shoot the engagement session of a very fun and quirky couple. Lisa and Eric wanted to hang out in the wonderful downtown locale of Racine and do some shooting so I obliged with a smile on my face. I love the wonderful brickwork and urban feel of the place. These two were great to talk to as they are gamers like myself and caught all the subtle geek culture I tend to pepper into conversation. They are getting married in August in Lake Geneva and I can’t wait. Here is a sample of some of the great shots we came out with from that day. Congratulations again you two. See you again in August!

Spring on the horizon || Kenosha Wedding Photographer

Good evening one and all. The winter is still locking us in but it’s running scared. Warmer weather is becoming more and more frequent. I can feel the earth finally waking from another long slumber. In a few short days my camera equipment will come back from a well deserved cleaning and calibration. I am geared up and ready to start shooting some wonderful couples to get this year rolling.

Speaking of couples I have to mention the months I am already fully booked for: July, August, September, October

So sorry if we didn’t get a chance to work together this year. I wish everyone a great start to a wonderful year. I’m looking forward to working with all my wonderful couples.

Kenosha Maternity Photography || Manthei Family

Hello everyone and happy winter to you. We sit on the eave of another winter snowmageddon. You have to love a place that gets all 4 seasons including a wonderfully extended winter. I have been trying to stay warm but a few weeks ago I stepped out into the frigid air of January to do something I don’t do very often. Two great people who I had the opportunity to photograph in 2008 at their wedding are having their first baby! They contacted me to shoot some maternity photos for them and, though it’s not something I do often, I agreed. Mary and Ryan were troopers as we trudged through the snow and barely double digit temperatures at Petrifying Springs park (Pets Park for those in the know). I wanted to share some samples from their great shoot together and wish them all the best on the road of parenthood that now looms before them. Enjoy the challenge you two!

Behold the photographic goodness….

Had to do this classic shot. Turned out quite nice if I do say so myself.

Kenosha Wedding Photography || Mike and Katie

Hello again one and all. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving. I know I really enjoyed the time with family and friends. I once again opted out of braving the weather and the insane lines on Black Friday. Saves on my sanity and on my pocketbook.

I wanted to post some images from my last wedding of the year. Mike and Katie got married October 9th of this year. It turned out to be great weather and we had a chance to head on down to Southport Beach house for some photos. These two were great to work with and had amazing chemistry. They had their reception at the new Parkside banquet hall. I had yet to shoot there and was very impressed. The food was great and they went to great lengths to make it look very sophisticated.

Here are some highlights from their day. Congratulations you two.

Kenosha Wedding Photography || Adam and Nicole

Good evening one and all. The weather is once again getting cooler and the last fleeting glimpses of fall is slowly slipping away. I have been extremely busy finishing the last 3 wedding for this season in addition to several albums included in their packages. I wanted to take a moment in the midst of the madness to share a recent wedding here in Kenosha. Adam and Nicole were a great couple who I had the pleasure of shooting on the first of October. The day turned out amazing and the weather gave us some wonderful clouds and warm sunset light. They were a blast to shoot and had me laughing all day long. Their reception venue was Strawberry Creek Country Club. I had actually never shot there before but I pray I get more opportunity in the future, it was beautiful. The evening even ended with Nicole and her father doing the dance number from Pulp Fiction for the father/daughter dance!  Without further a-do here are some samples from their day.

Kenosha Wedding Photography || Bryan and Ashley

Good evening everyone and happy October (well, what is left of it that is). I have been very busy finishing the last 3 wedding in a row that I shot. I wanted to take a breather from editing to post the wedding of another lovely couple. Ashley and Bryan are deeply in love and got married at the end of last month. I had a great time working with these two and their little daughter Grace. The weather was in and out for most of the day but overall it turned out to be just what we needed. I really enjoyed watching these two together and seeing the love in their eyes as they kissed and talked softly in between shots. The wedding was at the always pleasant St. Elizabeth’s Church downtown Kenosha and the reception was at Bristol Oaks Country Club. Here are some samples from their big day!
