Kenosha Wedding Photography || Megan and Josh

Wow, I can’t believe October jumped out of a bush and ambushed us like this. Where has this year gone? I have been working feverishly to finish through several weddings and about 4 engagement sessions. The blog, I’m afraid has been made to suffer. Time to play catch up though. Early in July I got the chance to shoot a wedding for the wonderful Megan and Josh. These two were a blast to work with and had a great dynamic. The day started off overcast and raining but ended bright and sunny. We had a great time shooting at the Lincoln Park Gardens, which were in spectacular bloom. Thankfully we didn’t have any competition from any other parties which is common there. Below you will find a sample of their awesome day. I hope you enjoy as much as they did.

CrossWorks Photography featured on Kenosha Public Museum’s website…..

Happy cold fall evening to you all. I think that the dog days of summer are finally behind and the rich tapestry of fall colors are ahead. I am currently in the middle of editing one wedding, one engagement session and 2 albums. I wanted to share some good news that a former bride of mine shared with me. Last year I photographed the wedding of Amber and Joe at the Kenosha Public Museum. Amber was kind enough to bring those in charge of the KPM’s website to my attention and they wanted to use some of the images from the wedding for their advertising purposes. I said yes (with a small credit of course) and then never really heard when something would be coming along. Fast forward to today and Amber let me know that they finally featured their wedding on the facility rental page on the KPM’s website. It’s awesome to see your work out there and being used in the industry you are so passionate about. Thanks to each and everyone for making it possible.

Here is a link to their website: Kenosha Public Museum

Here are some shots from their wonderful wedding for a bit of a flashback to where it all began.

Green Bay Wedding Photography || Megan and Adam

September has somehow snuck up on us and fall is in the air. This is one of the most magical times of year. Nothing better than a crackling backyard fire and time spent with friends and family. Speaking of friends I have finally gotten to blog the wonderful wedding of Megan and Adam. These two great people got married at the start of July in Green Bay. I love getting to shoot in other cities and see some of the great locations other places have to offer. From the start they wanted to shoot at the Green Bay Botanic Garden which was definitely ok with me. They were also having the wedding at St. Francis Xavier church which is quite possibly the most amazing church I have ever been in. Megan and Adam are really in love and you can see it when they look into each other’s eyes. I hope in these sample images you can see it too.

Kenosha Engagement Photography || Laura and Jared

Wow, where has the summer gone? It’s nearly the middle of August and wedding season is in full swing. That, of course, would explain the lack of entries here. I try I really do. LOL. Rewind with me a bit to good old July 3rd. I got a chance to shoot a session for the wonderful Laura and Jared. The Kenosha Independence day parade was going on and it proved a great venue for the day. I must say Laura is the person to know in Kenosha. She knows everyone and it allowed us to have a lot more freedom as we shot. We started off on a parked trolley and then made our way through the downtown to the museum. These two are really fun to hang with, though I felt bad for Jared as he had a bit of a sprained ankle. He held in there though and helped to make some great images along with his lovely bride to be Laura. Enjoy the images from their day.

Kenosha Engagement Photography || Kasie and Tom

Boom! Another great engagement session coming your way today. Kasie and Tom are two fun folks who are getting married this August. We met out at Petrifying Springs park for an impromptu couple of shots with Kasie’s immediate family who were in town. Some quick images later and we sent them packing. Since we were already at the park we started the engagement session there and then moved on to the wonders of downtown Kenosha. Tom is an avid motorcycle owner and wanted to show off his Harley so we found a nice dingy looking alleyway and shot away. We had a lot of fun and much to my wife’s ire I think I now want a motorcycle. LOL. Enjoy the set.

Kenosha Engagement Photography || Sarah and Aaron

Wedding season is now in full swing and couldn’t be better. I still have a few engagement sessions to finish and thought I would share this one with you today. Sarah and Aaron are two wonderful people who are having their wedding in September of this year. They decided on an engagement shoot near the lake at the “cannon” park (they likely know the name though I always forget. Ask anyone in Kenosha where the cannon park is and they will know.) The day was pretty overcast and but that didn’t dim their spirits. The laughter was great and getting them to climb in a tree was a lot of fun. Then they made mention of wanting a shot with their two puppies (well more like dog and small horse ;) ), so Sarah called her dad and he made his way down with the duo. Nothing like having a Great Dane stand at chest height while you are trying to get everyone setup. LOL. With a lot of luck and a dog treat placed precariously above my head we got the shot. Here are some highlights from their day! Enjoy you two.
