Good afternoon one and all. The seasons are a changing on this wonderful Labor day weekend. I am looking forward to some nice color changing leaves and Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte action. I wanted to quickly post a recent engagement session for two great people. Katie and Mike came to me from a long line of referrals from past clients. I think I must have seen them at more than a few weddings. We did the shoot in downtown Racine, which I haven’t really done before. They got the new location hot off the presses. Greetings from the end of summer. The nights are getting cool out there and you can already feel the winds of fall swirling in the leaves. Just finished a wedding from mid July and and now on to a few more. Melissa and Joe were super cool to work with and provided lots of laughs not only during the engagement session but during the wedding as well. We got some sweet shots of these two in love on their big day. Here are a small sample from there day.

Good afternoon one and all. I have another great wedding to showcase for you today. Ken and Ryanne are two great people and have a genuine love for each other. My wife and I actually sit a few rows over in church from each other. The wedding day turned out great and very warm, despite some rumblings of a rain storm for most of the day. Good evening one and all. Wedding season is in full swing and I am busier than ever. The blog is getting a little love for once. I photographed a great engagement session a few weeks ago and I wanted to share it with you. Ashley and Bryan are getting married in September of this year. I got mad love for that seeing as how its a week and a half after my 28th birthday. We took off down to the lake on a nice sunny Saturday afternoon. The place was hopping and we had to dodge another wedding or two while we shot outside of the Kemper Center. They were so fun and in love. Here are some samples from their day.

We took a ride down to Southport Beach house. I strive to show that place a little love at least a few times a year. Brian also had a nice GQ outfit change.

Good day everyone. I trust you all had a safe and fun Independence Day. I had a great opportunity to finish up a great wedding for Anna and Dave. These two had their wonderful ceremony in Green Bay Wisconsin which was a good deal North from where I usually shoot. This allowed me to get some great new scenery and new environments. The rain was ominous most of the day but it held off long for us to get all the shots we wanted at the beautiful St. Norbert’s College. Here are some highlights from that day.

Hello again one and all. It has been quite a while since I last blogged. I have been beyond swamped with editing no less than 3 weddings and 1 engagement session. Don’t get me wrong I love every minute but sometimes the pile doesn’t seem to get any smaller. My first wedding of the year was with these two wonderful people. Vanessa and Scott are madly in love and it showed while I went through editing their images. Vanessa is the sister of a great bride of mine from 2007 who coincidentally got married in the same church and used the same reception venue (The Red Circle Inn). We got some great shots in the fading light of the warm May evening. Here is a taste of their amazing wedding day.

Hello again one and all. Two blog posts in quick succession I know. I bet your heads are spinning. The wedding season is on like Donkey Kong. I photographed an amazing wedding this last weekend and will be shooting another wedding this weekend in Green Bay Wisconsin. I wanted to take a moment to share a great engagement session I had last weekend. Ryanne and Ken are getting married at the end of the month. We strolled around downtown Kenosha and took some amazing shots together. Here is a sample of the fun we had.

Hello again everyone out there. I see it has been a very long time since I last wrote a blog entry. With the wedding season getting ready to explode for another wonderful summer the posting will pick up again I promise. I start it off with a wonderful Kenosha Engagement session. Adam and Nicole were awesome to work with. We met up outside the Nook Coffee shop downtown to start off our day. The weather was a bit chilly for this time of year but they trudged on in style. Good evening one and all. In a few short minutes we will be setting our clocks ahead by and hour and I will be one sleepy guy tomorrow! Time is moving by so fast it seems. I myself am nearly 3 months away from my first wedding anniversary. I now know the feeling each one of my couples must experience when they too arrive at that first anniversary.

I wanted to simply take a moment and let everyone who visits the page know that I am completely full for the 2010 season! I want to thank all the awesome couples I will have the opportunity to work with this year. I had a ton of inquiries for dates that filled up really quick. I actually had to turn away so many awesome people this year it was a bit sad for me. I wish I could shoot them all (with a camera of course LOL). Just a nice reminder for future 2011 and beyond brides: Make sure you book as far in advance for your photographer as you can. The good photographers book first.

Coming in the next several months as well I will be posting about my planned portrait work for 2011 (namely that I am going to start doing it) and my new and unique wedding collection. CrossWorks Photography is also going to get a lot more exclusive in 2011 as I will be taking no more than 6 weddings. My busy life schedule and the sheer amount of weddings I have taken in 2009 and will take in 2010 have caused me to want to focus more on each wedding and also offer more portraits. But I won’t get all long winded on you now. More to come on this soon!

Winter is nearly over!

Good day one and all. I have been a bit aloof over the past month or so. The weather has actually been quite nice as well. I wanted to take time to post some personal images I had taken while I get ready to ramp up the wonderful 2010 wedding season. I have been meeting tons of wonderful brides and grooms over the past few weeks. Some have even been thinking ahead enough to be planning for their 2011 weddings.

I took these images a few weeks ago on a Sunday. The weather was really odd and the light dust of snow we had gotten the night before clung to the trees like a gentle touch of diamonds. Hurrying out to Petrifying Springs Park, my wife and I started shooting right away. The sky started out overcast which worked well but then the sun came out. No sooner had it touched the branches then most of the snow vaporized right into the air. I was really bummed but we got some great pictures none the less.

Enjoy these images and I hope to be diligent enough to spend more time updating the blog. Have a blessed and prosperous week in all you do.

The 2009 season has now come and gone. It was an awesome year. I had the extreme pleasure of working with so many couples, including Emily and Jake. Emily and Jake were my final wedding couple of the year on December 30th. Amidst a gentle snow and cool winter afternoon they got married at First Assembly of God in Kenosha. It was a beautiful ceremony and they had a lot of fun at the reception. Here are some shots I love from the wedding. Congratulations you two!

Kasse and Mike | Racine Wedding Photography

Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with Kasse and Mike. I shot Mike’s brother’s wedding last year. The day was cold but we managed to get outside and take some great shots. The wedding party was a bunch of troopers and trudged on for all the photos. I haven’t laughed at a wedding as hard as I did that day. Everyone was cracking jokes all day long. The entire ceremony and reception was at the Marriott hotel in Racine. Enjoy these wonderful selections from their day.

Getting Married in 2010 ?

Are you planning on getting married in 2010? Not engaged but planning on that romantic New Year’s eve proposal? Whatever you love story is (or will be) you are going to need an awesome photographer to capture your big day. Dates for 2010 are filling up very quickly. This is just my gentle push to let everyone on the fence know that if they want to lock me down for a date in 2010 please get in contact with me ASAP. I am getting 3-4 inquiries a week for the months of June, July and August. I have a feeling they wont be open for to much longer.

Don’t think you can afford me? My collections start at $1500 with 2 photographers and a disc of images with a signed waiver to print them for personal use. The only money needed up front is a small retainer. The rest comes later. And hey, after the wedding is done what will you have left besides your memories and the pictures from that day. The limo driver goes home, the flowers wilt, and the leftover food gets thrown away. Your love is special and your love story deserves to be told in the best possible way.
