Maternity session…..

With the snow storms of the last several weeks I never anticipated having any shoots outside. Pat and Holly approached me about doing some maternity shots before she has her baby in February. I was a bit apprehensive as this is a new avenue for me but thought it would be a great way to get the ball moving. Here are some highlights.

Last Senior of the season……

Happy December to everyone. Last weekend I had the chance to shoot some images for Brittany. She is graduating at the end of this year and needed some hot senior pictures to show to all her friends. The weather was rough, about 20 degrees out but she was a trooper and kept going. I was fortunate to have some hand warmers in the car so she used those between sets. Here are some images from that shoot.

Chicago Wedding…..my last of the season

Happy post Thanksgiving friends. I trust you all had a safe a blessed Thanksgiving. I had the great opportunity to go and shoot a wedding with another photographer in Chicago this last Saturday. The bride and groom were great and it was very laid back. The reception was at one of the coolest venues I had ever seen. I haven’t gone through most of these yet but I wanted to post a few samples to get you interested. I will post more in the next several days.

Is it Thanksgiving already?

Happy Wednesday to everyone. I trust you were all some of the lucky ones who got the day off. The grocery stores are going to be crazy. Despite a small break tomorrow and Friday I will be shooting a wedding in Chicago. Despite being on the border with Illinois I have never managed to shoot there. I should have some goodies for you next week. I wanted to take a second and share some images of the Christmas Cards I’m sending out this year. I had them done up on art linen paper which gives it an amazing texture. My previous brides should be receiving them next week sometime. Want to get one for yourself next year? Give me a call and book a wedding. :-D

Happy Thanksgiving everyone !!!!

CrossWorks tries bands……

Sometime ago I was approached by a friend to take some images of her band in Chicago. I said “well I’m a wedding/portrait photographer but I suppose I can give it a whirl”. So after a whirlwind shoot in the morning I managed to meet with the band. Here are some of the images I got out of the shoot. I love the windy city and the band was great. I had so much fun. Oh and by the way the band is called “Untitled” and they are available on Itunes.

Bridal Shoot…….

Happy Friday everyone. I wanted to take a moment to share some bridal shots that I took with another wedding photographer. I had the wide angle lens on for most of the day so I managed to capture the bigger picture while she shot from farther away. It was great to be able to drive out to New London and spend some time with the couple. They still had some great color on the trees. Something we missed here this year. Enjoy!

Trash the Dress…… Part Deux

Sometime back when the weather was warmer and the days seemed much longer I did a Trash the Dress shoot for my friend Joy. With hubby James in tow we made the rounds through wonderful downtown Kenosha. I had been eye-balling the fountain in front of the museum for some time now and thought that Joy would be the perfect person to pull off some fun shots. Enjoy the shots and contact me if your interested in doing something like this. It’s ok, in the end the dress can still be cleaned. :-)

Indian Summer……

Well here we are the second week of October in 80 degree weather. Kind of crazy I think. Last week I had an opportunity to go with the great folks of SmugMug to Glacier National Park in Montana. I had a lot of fun and got a chance to shoot landscape instead of bridalscape (not that I mind weddings) for the first time in 4 months. I just thought I would share some images with you.

Jen and Kevin

Well thats it. Finally finished the last of my current wedding work and have been able to catch up with everyone. Here are some images from Jen and Kevin’s wedding on September 1st. It was a great day and the weather held off rather nicely for us. It was my first ride in a trolley so that was also pretty cool. On a side note is was really cool that the reception was at the Roma Lodge, got to love some Italian pride every now and again. Enjoy the images and leave me a comment if you feel so inclined. I have another Trash the dress shoot to post up soon.
